Capture the page
you are already on.
Most of what belongs in a knowledge graph turns up while you are reading something else. The Noosphere extension adds one button to your browser that sends the current page into your graph — the same extraction, organization, and relationship mapping the service performs on anything you upload by hand.
What it does
- One-click capture. The button submits the page you are viewing — its address and readable content — to your Noosphere account.
- Signs in with your existing session. The extension recognizes you by the same account you use at getnoosphere.com. There is no second password.
- Processing happens in the cloud, not in your browser. The extension does not analyze anything locally; it hands the source to the online service, which does the extraction and adds the results to the graph.
- It only runs when you press it. The extension does not read pages in the background or capture browsing history.
The extension is an optional accessory. Noosphere itself is an online, non-downloadable service — everything the extension does can also be done from the website by pasting a URL or uploading a file.

Builds are available to signed-in Noosphere users. Choosing a download will take you through Google sign-in first. The extension is distributed directly rather than through the browser stores while the service is in staged rollout, so each platform loads it as an unpacked extension.

Installing

Once installed, sign in at getnoosphere.com in the same browser. The extension picks up that session automatically, and the button will begin sending pages to your graph.
What the extension sends
When you press the button, the extension transmits the address of the page and its readable text to Noosphere, together with the credential that identifies your account. That submission is stored as an upload on your account and processed the same way as a file you upload directly.
The extension does not collect browsing history, does not run on pages you have not explicitly captured, and does not transmit anything to third parties. See the Privacy Policy for how submitted content is handled, retained, and deleted.
